Quicken 2006 came with my laptop (so no disk) how can I get only Quicken loaded on my desktop computer?

waltzme2heaven: I don't think you can - easily. As you are aware, when quicken is installed, files are sent everywhere on your computer
Back up your financial file.
Try this, and I mean try this: copy the folder over from the laptop to the PC and place it in the same directory. Try to start the quicken exe file. Copy over the .dll or whatever errors come up (can't find this or can't find that - files) and place them on the PC whatever folder you found them on your laptop.
There is a really really good chance that it won't work. But worth a shot. The old old quickens could be moved just by dropping the folder from one place to another - these new 200x versions are a little messier.
Other choice is to buy it. They might let you buy and download the full version at their website.
