Can't run Quicken because of Com error?
I cannot run my Quicken 2008 version with my Windows XP. I keep getting a program Crash and Com Error which shuts down the progam. this is all I am getting. Quicken says it is a problem with the system. Microsoft is VERY slow to answer questions about this. I still haven't gotten one. I have reinstalled and cleared out my hard drive of any Quicken files and still have the same problem. I am out of ideas. I cannot find anything on just a Com error, as there is no number. Anyone know what the problem is (besides the user).

Com (communications) is a serial port. COM (Component Object Model) is part of Windows. I don't think there's a defect with the user (yet). :)
